Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, or RTF document file format.
  • Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  • The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.

Author Guidelines

FAIMA Business & Management Journal (ISSN 2344-4088), indexed in ERIH+, welcomes original and high-quality scholarly contributions that advance knowledge and understanding in business, management, economics, entrepreneurship, organizational studies, finance, marketing, human resource management, international business, and related areas. The journal encourages submissions that demonstrate clear research questions, sound theoretical foundations, appropriate methodology, rigorous analysis, and meaningful academic or practical implications. Authors are expected to ensure that their manuscripts make a clear contribution to the existing literature and are relevant to the broad scope of business and management research.

Manuscripts submitted to the journal should be original scholarly works that have not been published previously and are not under consideration by another journal at the time of submission. Authors should ensure that all submitted material is their own work and that appropriate acknowledgment is given to the ideas, data, arguments, quotations, and findings of other researchers. Any use of previously published material should be properly cited and, where necessary, appropriately acknowledged. Authors are responsible for ensuring that the manuscript does not contain plagiarism, fabricated or falsified information, or any other form of academic misconduct.

Manuscripts should be written in clear, concise, and academically appropriate language. The submission should normally include a descriptive title, author name(s), institutional affiliation(s), corresponding author details, an abstract, keywords, the main body of the manuscript, references, tables, figures, and any other material necessary for understanding the research. The abstract should provide a concise overview of the purpose, methodology, principal findings, and implications of the study. Keywords should accurately represent the major concepts and subject areas addressed in the manuscript.

The main text should be logically organized and presented according to the nature of the research. Research articles will generally benefit from sections covering the introduction, literature review or theoretical background, methodology, results or findings, discussion, conclusion, and implications. Authors may adapt the structure when appropriate for theoretical, conceptual, review, methodological, or other types of scholarly contributions. The introduction should clearly establish the research problem, objectives, research questions or hypotheses, and significance of the study. The literature review should engage critically with relevant and recent scholarship and establish the contribution of the manuscript.

Authors should provide sufficient methodological information to enable readers to understand and, where appropriate, assess or reproduce the research process. Research methods, sampling procedures, data sources, analytical techniques, measurement instruments, and relevant ethical considerations should be described clearly. Quantitative, qualitative, mixed-methods, conceptual, and theoretical studies should use methods appropriate to their research objectives and disciplinary context. Statistical analyses should be reported accurately, with appropriate interpretation of results rather than relying solely on statistical significance.

All tables, figures, charts, diagrams, and other visual materials should be clearly numbered and appropriately titled. They should be referred to in the text in the correct sequence and should contribute directly to the presentation or interpretation of the research. Sources should be provided wherever data, figures, models, or other material are derived from existing publications or external sources. Authors should ensure that visual materials are of suitable quality for publication.

The journal expects authors to follow a consistent and recognized academic referencing style throughout the manuscript. Every source cited in the text should appear in the reference list, and every reference listed should be cited in the manuscript. Authors should carefully verify the accuracy and completeness of bibliographic information, including author names, publication years, titles, journal or book details, page numbers where applicable, and DOI or other persistent identifiers when available.

Authors should disclose any potential conflicts of interest that could influence the research, interpretation of findings, or publication process. Where research involves human participants, personal data, organizations, or other ethically sensitive information, authors should ensure that appropriate ethical standards have been followed and that necessary permissions or approvals have been obtained. Participants' privacy and confidentiality should be protected, and informed consent should be obtained where applicable.

The corresponding author is responsible for communicating with the journal during submission and throughout the editorial and peer-review process. All listed authors should have made a meaningful contribution to the research and should have approved the final version of the manuscript. Requests for changes to authorship should be communicated to the editorial office with appropriate justification and the agreement of all relevant authors.

Submitted manuscripts are subject to an initial editorial assessment to determine their suitability for the journal in terms of scope, scholarly quality, originality, presentation, and compliance with the journal's requirements. Manuscripts considered suitable may subsequently be evaluated through an appropriate peer-review process. Authors should respond professionally and constructively to editorial and reviewer comments and provide revisions within the timeframe specified by the editorial office when revisions are requested.

Authors should carefully proofread their manuscripts before submission to ensure accuracy in language, formatting, references, tables, figures, and citations. Manuscripts that require substantial correction or that do not meet the journal's basic academic and formatting requirements may be returned to authors for improvement before further consideration. Submission of a manuscript indicates that the authors have read and agree to comply with the journal's editorial and ethical requirements.

The journal encourages responsible use of emerging technologies, including artificial intelligence and AI-assisted tools. Authors remain fully responsible for the accuracy, originality, integrity, and scholarly content of their submissions. AI tools should not be used in ways that result in fabricated references, inaccurate information, plagiarism, undisclosed substantial authorship, or other forms of academic misconduct. Where AI-assisted tools have materially contributed to the preparation or analysis of a manuscript, authors should provide appropriate disclosure in accordance with the journal's applicable editorial requirements.

Privacy Statement

AIMA Business & Management Journal is committed to protecting the privacy and confidentiality of authors, reviewers, editors, readers, and other users of its website and editorial services. This Privacy Statement explains how personal information may be collected, used, stored, and protected in connection with the journal's website, manuscript submission process, peer-review activities, and related editorial communications.

The journal may collect personal information voluntarily provided by users, including names, institutional affiliations, professional positions, email addresses, contact details, ORCID identifiers, and other information necessary for manuscript submission, editorial correspondence, peer review, and publication.
