Peer Review Policy
FAIMA Business & Management Journal is committed to maintaining the highest standards of scholarly quality, academic integrity, and editorial independence through a rigorous peer-review process. All manuscripts submitted to the journal are evaluated on the basis of originality, relevance to the journal’s scope, methodological soundness, analytical rigor, clarity of presentation, and contribution to the advancement of business and management knowledge.
Upon submission, each manuscript undergoes an initial editorial screening conducted by the editorial office or the Editor-in-Chief. During this stage, the manuscript is assessed for its suitability for the journal, compliance with submission requirements, overall academic quality, and adherence to ethical and scholarly standards. Manuscripts that fall outside the journal’s scope, do not meet basic academic or linguistic standards, or fail to comply with ethical expectations may be returned to the authors without external review.
Manuscripts that pass the preliminary screening are submitted to a double-blind peer review process. In this system, the identities of the authors and reviewers are concealed from one another in order to ensure an impartial, objective, and independent evaluation. Typically, each manuscript is reviewed by at least two qualified experts with relevant subject expertise in the field addressed by the submission.
Reviewers are invited to evaluate the manuscript with respect to the significance and originality of the research topic, the adequacy of the literature review and theoretical framework, the appropriateness and transparency of the research methodology, the validity and reliability of the data analysis, the coherence of the discussion and conclusions, the relevance of the findings for theory and practice, and the quality, organization, and readability of the manuscript. Reviewers are expected to provide constructive, respectful, and evidence-based comments that assist both the editors and the authors in improving the scholarly quality of the work.
Based on the reviewers’ reports, the editorial decision may be one of the following: accept without revisions, accept with minor revisions, revise and resubmit for further review, or reject. When revisions are requested, authors are expected to submit a revised manuscript accompanied by a detailed response explaining how each reviewer comment has been addressed. Revised manuscripts may be returned to the original reviewers for additional evaluation when considered necessary by the editors.
The editorial team retains full responsibility for all publication decisions. Final decisions are made after consideration of the reviewers’ recommendations, the authors’ revisions, the manuscript’s scholarly merit, and the journal’s editorial priorities. In cases where reviewer opinions differ substantially, the editors may seek an additional independent review or make a decision based on their own assessment of the manuscript.
All manuscripts, review reports, correspondence, and related materials are treated as confidential documents. Reviewers must not share, discuss, copy, or use any part of an unpublished manuscript for personal, professional, or financial advantage. Any potential conflicts of interest that could affect the objectivity of the review must be disclosed to the editors, and reviewers with significant conflicts should decline the review invitation.
FAIMA Business & Management Journal expects editors, reviewers, and authors to adhere to recognized principles of publication ethics, including fairness, confidentiality, transparency, avoidance of plagiarism, and responsible conduct of research. The journal may take appropriate corrective actions in cases involving ethical misconduct, manipulation of the peer-review process, data fabrication, plagiarism, or other breaches of academic integrity.
Through this peer-review policy, FAIMA Business & Management Journal seeks to ensure that all published articles meet internationally recognized standards of scholarly excellence and make a meaningful contribution to research and practice in business and management studies.
